My mom and this year’s Grand DOM, Sandy Morisette, came to Macomb County at the age of 7 with her parents Victoria and Lou Zawadzki and her three sisters, Roslyn, Barb and Marianne. Sandy attended St. Mary High School and played women’s basketball earning MVP her freshman year! During High School, Sandy met James Morisette, the two fell in love and were married shortly after high school. My mom talks about how she couldn’t imagine starting their family anywhere other than Macomb County. She has always loved the close community and staying close to the Morisette Family.
